Glossary

The programm I am studying in at Cegep St-Laurent is called Pure and Applied Science. More precisely, classes are more about Chemestry, Physics an Maths. This glossary is more about Chemistery of Solutions, because this subject has a lot of interesting definitions important to understand. . Aqueous solution It is a solution where the solvent is H20. Density It is a way to characterize something tangible by its mass devided by its volume. Enthalpy It is a quantity of energy absorbed or released necessary to a reaction. Entropy It is a measure that portrays the level of disorder. Molality It is a way to characterize something tangible by its quantity devided by its solvent's mass. Molarity It is a way to characterize something tangible by its quantity in moles devided by its solvent's volume. About Me

About Me Hi, my name is Étienne and I am 18 years old. I was born in Urbana, a city of Illinois, but grew up here, in Montreal. A lot of my time is dedicated to school and basketball. I play for Saint-Laurent's city team and study in its college. I started studying Pure and Applied there in August 2017 and will probably finish in May 2019. For now, my favorite subjects are maths and physics but I don't know yet what to choose for university. I will have to make my choice for university in March 2019. Thank you for reading, Étienne
